Day 11 - Hug!

Hug!... people whom you feel comfortable hugging. Your friends or family would be fine. Why?... Hugging is known to be the best way to release Oxytocin ( moral molecule), which helps you to feel happy and trusting in seconds!. There is no better way but to have lots of Oxytocin to urge you to do good and be generous. Dr. Paul Zak, NeuroEconmists,( also called Dr.Love) says that 8 hugs a day, would keep you happy and stress free. Why don't you try it out. Go on... Go and give a good hug to your loved ones... it also makes the other person feel better!...

Karma points: 25 per hug... 300 for 8 hugs a day

Tell me about your reaction after a good hug... feeling any raise in Oxytocin?... and post me on how much Karma points you earned today... Have a nice day... :)

Day 10 - Be Kind , Greet

Who doesn't like a warm greeting?. Even a person in a bad mood would cheer up when greeted. A "hello" is just a start for a good friendship. All the people we meet are special in some way. Keep that in mind and treat them well. The more people you greet, the more chances are that you'll be noticed and your first impression would give them a very warm feeling that you can expect back a smile from them, the next time you see them. Wouldn't it be great if you are given a smile every time you greet?. Your day would be much better .

Karma Points : 25 per greeting.

Post me about the reaction of the people whom you greeted... and how much Karma Points you have earned today... Have a nice day... :)

Day - 9 Notice

Notice who? what?... Notice Kindness... in people. How many of us appreciate the act of kindness that others do?. But, we do expect others to notice our act. That's a bit not in equilibrium, is it?. Once you start noticing others and the goodness in them, it inspires them and you, to take a step forward and do something good to others. Ask yourself, would you be with a friend who notices your good quality? or who notices your vises?... or who doesn't notice anything?... I would prefer the first option, but I would prefer more to be that friend who notices. Go on, Notice the act of not just the ones you know, but also the strangers. You might be attracting some good humans into your life by just noticing. Try it out.

Tell me about the act of kindness of the strangers that you noticed and how you felt afterwards. Have a nice day... :)

Day 8 - Treat!

Yep!... Treat yourself today, as you have successfully completed a week of "consciously doing good". I think that you deserve it. It does take some time and effort for doing good things to others and you really need to be appreciated for it. First of all, I thank you and appreciate your effort.. "way to go!". So, Go out today and have a nice meal outside or get something that you wanted to get. This time you deserve it. Feel happy, feel proud.

But, I would like to give you a very small activity. Do you see the hungry virtual fishes at the right side of the blog?. Just click on the space to give it some food. You might then realize that when you keep giving it more and more food, the fishes keep following your cursor. Doing good does the same to your friends and family. When you do something good to others, they follow you. I think that the virtual hungry fishes have taught you some valuable insight on doing good. All the Best. Have a nice day... :)

Day 7 - Watch This Video

http://www.ted.com/talks/daniel_goleman_on_compassion.html

Its a TED talk on Compassion. Well, Instead of me writing pages and pages on compassion, I could just show you an awesome video by a very profound personality Mr.Daniel Goleman, who gives an insightful speech on Compassion. It really did open my eyes, I sure know that it does the same to you too. To do good very often, we need to have constant inspiration. The more inspiration in the beginning, would give the flow for more goodness in the future. So, Go on... Take some time off, and grasp the compassion and open up your flow of goodness.

Day 6 - Encourage

Encourage!... Best way to stay "Respectable". I know that you do realize that the more good you do, the better person you become and the better reputation you get. Encouraging must also be genuine and for the good. In today's world full of foul mouthed critics, a person who encourages is definitely a blessing to others. Be that blessing. Let people be happy that you are a part of them. See the people whom you think deserves to be encouraged, whether you know them or not (preferably from the "Remember" list) and just encourage them for what they have done. Spread hope to the deserving. And of course... you get more Karma Points for this...

Karma Point - 100 per person encouraged.

Post to me about your experience and the Karma Points gained. Have a nice day... :)

Day 5 - Listen

Why?... Because everyone likes to talk and there is no one to listen. Listening is one big criteria to be a good friend. While listening, its always good to empathize. Not teaching Listening skills here. Just bringing people close to you. Does listening count as doing good?. Yep!...all of us have problems and no one to talk about it...plus, doing good is making others feel good, rite?. Don't judge, don't advice...just listen. Find someone close to you and ask them about how they are doing (preferably from "Remember" list). Once they feel good, they'll thank you. Even if not, you get your Karma Points... ;)

Karma Points- 75 per person.

Write to me how much karma points you earned today and about how you felt listening. Have a nice day... :)
